1934 MG PA Ex-Works Jack Bastock Cream Cracker Team Car Sold - £POA

Registration: JB 3854
Chassis No: PA 0682
Engine No: 927 AP

A most interesting and famous Works Cream Cracker car still on its original chassis and first registered to the Competitions Department on 15th May 1934 and used in competitions by J.A. Bastock to whom it was sold later that year.
Maurice Toulmin and R.A. Macdermid Bastock made up the official MG Car Club 'A-Team' in trials. This trio was the winning team in the inter-team trial that year.
A series of modifications were carried out to 'lighten' the car including aluminium bonnet and K3 pattern aluminium cycle wings. 'JB 3854' continued to compete successfully in various trials throughout 1934 and 1935, Bastock then sold the car just before the Second World War when he sold the car to Gilbert Couzens who, after the war, continued to compete successfully in the car.
In 1987 it was then sold to Alan Grassam who carried out a total restoration to retain as much of the original as possible.

And after more success competing in various events nationwide, the car has just been released from a private MG Collection.
