Works-prepared 1964 Reliant Sabre Six Coupe Sold - £POA

Chassis number: SS300152

One of only 77 Sabre Sixes built and one of only four cars built by Reliant's competition department, two intended for the Works team and two for privateers. This car was driven by Alex Griffiths in the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally and has since entered many rallies, sprints and hill climbs.

The last owner cared for the car for over 20 years. The Sabre has benefitted from a complete 'body-off' restoration. Just 4,000 miles have been travelled since a complete engine rebuild that included uprated pistons and a lead-free conversion. It has been fitted with a Raymond Mays cylinder head and triple Weber carburettors and now produces approximately 170BHP, an increase of over 60bhp from the standard engine.

There is a huge history file including FIA papers and FIVA card, a photographic record of the restoration and many supporting bills/invoices.
